What is Amazon Vine?

The Amazon Vine program helps generate high-quality reviews for your products so customers can make informed purchasing decisions. After enrolling, you provide products to a trusted network of reviewers we’ve invited to serve as Amazon Vine Voices. These reviewers request products they want to try free of charge and in return share their honest, unbiased opinions in a review.

Participating in Amazon Vine can help brands increase product discoverability, boost sales, and gain valuable product insights.

Who can use Amazon Vine?

To participate in Amazon Vine, you need a Professional selling account and eligible Fulfilment by Amazon (FBA) offers. You also need to be a brand representative for a brand enrolled in Amazon Brand Registry (login required).

Make products available to review
Amazon Vine
reviewers receive a link to the product detail page and decide if they’d like to review it. When they order the product, it’s shipped via FBA. Claimed Amazon Vine units appear on your order reports with a price of $0 and no customer name (to preserve the anonymity of Vine reviewers).

Track enrollment and reviews
You can track your enrollment status, claimed quantity, and the number of Amazon Vine reviews received on the Amazon Vine dashboard. You can identify published Vine reviews by looking for those tagged as “Vine Customer Review of Free Product.”

Ready to get started?

Step 1.
Log in to Seller Central
Log in to your Seller Central account or sign up as a seller. Make sure you have a Professional selling plan so you can participate in Vine.
Step 2.
Enrol your brand
If you’re the rights owner for an eligible brand, enrol it in Brand Registry. Or, if you’re employed by an enrolled brand, ask the rights owner or another administrator to assign you the brand representative selling role (login required).
Step 3.
Set up FBA
Register for FBA in Seller Central. Once you’ve created a new listing for a product, specify it as FBA inventory.
Step 4.
Enrol products
Hover over Advertising in the Seller Central main menu, then click Vine. From the Amazon Vine page, choose what FBA eligible products you’d like to enrol and specify the number of units you’d like to make available to reviewers.
Step 5.
Receive reviews
You won’t be billed until after your first review is published. If you don’t receive a Vine review within 90 days, you won’t be charged for that ASIN.

What are the product requirements for Amazon Vine?
Product Requirements:
  • Be brand registered in Amazon Australia's Brand Registry
  • Have a product with fewer than 30 reviews on the product detail page
  • Have a buyable offer in "New" condition
  • Not be an adult product, digital, or heavy and / bulky item
  • Have already launched at the time of enrolment in Amazon Vine
  • Have available inventory
  • Have an image and a product description
In addition to our general Restricted Products, products are excluded from Amazon Vine in for the following scenarios:
  • The products require the reviewers to bundle multiple products for delivery or review
  • The products require the reviewers to separately order another product in order to conduct a review
Note: Accessories for widely-owned products are permitted such as, cases for popular mobile phones can be enrolled, but you must not enroll an ink cartridge that requires a specific printer or a replacement battery that only works in a particular camera.
Who are Amazon Vine Voices?
Amazon Vine Voices are the trusted reviewers Amazon has invited to participate in Amazon Vine. They are selected based on the insightfulness of the reviews they’ve published in the Amazon store.

Voices request products enrolled in Amazon Vine that they want to try free of charge and in return share their honest, unbiased opinions in a review.
Why are only FBA offers eligible for Amazon Vine?
We are dedicated to protecting the anonymity of Amazon Vine reviewers. In order to avoid disclosing their contact information, we fulfil all Amazon Vine units via FBA.
What is the cost to enrol products in Amazon Vine?
Products enrolled in Amazon Vine are subject to an enrolment cost per parent product. There’s no additional cost for child products.

You will not be charged until after your first review is published. If you do not receive a Vine review within 90 days from the date of enrolment, you will not be charged.

Do I pay FBA costs and referral fees for units received by Amazon Vine reviewers?
Yes, since the inventory available on Amazon Vine-enrolled offers remain available for customers to purchase. You are responsible for these fees (such as FBA fulfilment and storage fees), whether they end up being requested by Amazon Vine Voices or by regular customers. Can I cancel Amazon Vine enrolment for a product?
You can cancel enrolment for a product if Amazon Vine reviewers don’t claim any units. If a reviewer has claimed a unit, you can stop enrolment to prevent additional units from being claimed. However, this does not guarantee reviews will not be published.

To cancel Amazon Vine enrolment for a product, hover over Advertising in the Seller Central main menu, then click Amazon Vine. From the Vine dashboard, locate the product and click Stop.

Note: You cannot re-enrol a product in Amazon Vine after cancelling enrolment.
